March goals

Here is what I have achieved:

  • Look through the information that I have got about dealing with children and make and relevent notes.
  • I have still not done this.
  • Work on planning a healthier diet and find some new meals to cook.
  • I have tried new recipes and am including more variety to the diet and healthier food.
  • Keep working on cleaning the flat.
  • I have cleaned the flat.
I am really pleased with the work that I have done on the flat as I was not doing well at one point but the motivation that I got was enough to get the job done. That I think makes up for the fack that I was not able to get the first challenge done.

Operation clean flat - Weekly report

This week has gone really well. Well the visit from the environmental health next week has been the sort of motivation that I needed.

today I worked on the kitchen. I gutted the place. I got rid of the clutter and I cleaned the side. I got some kitchen cleaner with bleach and I cleaned the sides, cooker, tiles and floor with them. I do not want to use that type of cleaner often but it really needed a good clean today. the only thing that I need to do is the dishes, recycle corner and sink. I will see what I can get done before I crash but if I do not manage it then I have got time tomorrow when I will be able to do it.

The place is looking so much nicer and it feels so much nicer as well.

I really need to make sure that it is maintained.

It is good to know what I am able to get done in a short time. I just need to really apply myself to get the job done. I must confess that I am really shattered now.

Clean like a mad woman

We have got the environmental health coming around next Tuesday to check to see if there is still a damp problem in the flat.

We do not want the place to look a mess when they come around so I have been cleaning like a mad woman.

I cleaned out the bedroom last night (It is looking very funky now)

The living room was cleaned today (while my partner took the younglings)

It is amazing how motivating someone visiting to inspect the flat can be.

I am not looking forward to cleaning out the shed after ward though.

Operation clean flat - Weekly report

This week has not gone too well.

I have had moments where I have managed to get some cleaning and sorting out done, but there is still a big clothes pile to be cleared.

I think that I have just been too tired to get anything done this week.

hopefully next week when I do not have so much rushing about to do I will be able to get more done.

I really need to get organized as the place is rapidly getting as messy as it was when I started this major clean up operation.

Operation clean flat - Weekly report

I have decided that it would be better to report on the progress that I have been making on a weekly basis.

Today I did really well with the clothes pile and I put away a lot of them. I also spent some time cleaning up in the kitchen.

I managed to divide my time between cleaning and playing on Oblivion. I think that is an important thing to do. If I am able to achieve balance then that would help so much.

Operation clean flat - Day Nineteen

It was my eldest sons birthday today so cleaning was suspended for the day.

It also did not help that when I got the chance to clean I was feeling too tired to do so.

Operation clean flat - Day Eighteen

While I did not get much done in the morning, I made up for it in the afternoon.

I managed to get two wash loads done. I was able to do this as the weather is dry and warm enough to put stuff outside. If it carries on like this I will be able to get all of the bedding washed. Tomorrow all the towels get washed.

I also opened the windows in the bedrooms to air them. I am not sure if it was due to the window being open but the walls did not seem to be as damp as they are normally. Either that or it is because the weather is getting dryer.

I do think I need to find out my ten minute housework book and have a read through it. While continuing with the major clear out I think this would be good for me to help me keep ontop of the everyday things that need to do. I know my partner does do some things and has offered to do more, I know that I will be the one that ends up doing the majority of it.

I think it is coming to the time when I get a bag to sort through at night time. I have got so much stuff that I am not sure what to do with it. But if I can sort through a bag a day then I will be making progress.

Operation clean flat - Day Seventeen

Today was operation look for my wallet.

I did find my wallet but that meant that a lot of the day was taken up in the search. We did find some toerh things that we had been looking for but not much tidying done.

In the aftermath of the searching I managed to get some things cleared up from the bedroom floor but I am now too tired to get anything else done.

Operation clean flat - Day Sixteen

You would not have believed how much time you can spend sorting through clothes. I spent a lot of time sorting through the clothes in the younglings room. I folded up the clothes that they can wear now and sorted some clothes to take to the clothes bank.

Though I was not happy when I discovered damp on my daughters princess dress and some mould. I have managed to wipe it down and I will clean it again tomorrow to make sure that it is clean. I put it away to keep it safe and it ended up making it worse. I will put it in my wardrobe from now on as it seems to be better in there. Sadly nowhere seems to be safe in this place.

I will be so glad when we move.

Tht was all that I managed to get done today.

March Goals

Here are my goals for March:

  1. Look through the information that I have got about dealing with children and make and relevent notes.
  2. Work on planning a healthier diet and find some new meals to cook.
  3. Keep working on cleaning the flat.
There are not that many but the last challenge will be the one that will keep me the busiest.

Operation clean flat - Day Fifteen

Today has not been too bad. I spent some time reading today but when I did work I managed to make good progress.

I cleaned in the kitchen. I have still some work to do on the side that is the worst for getting cluttered but the one section is looking lovely. I properly wiped down the sides (I removed everything and wiped it)

I always like seeing the kitchen clean. I will hopefully clear the floor tonight before I crash.

Tomorrow I am going to spend on sorting through the clothes and finding any that are too small for them.
