New funky course at homestart is going well

I have started a new course through homestart. It is being done twice a week for 6 weeks. It is about building confidence and discovering what skills I already have ready for when I want to return to work.

It has been really funky and I am starting to look at things in a different way now. I also remembered skills that I had forgotten that I had done. We even get homework with it. I have to make sure that I get mine done tonight. We have to list out all of the skills that I have got. I have managed to get part of it done already. I have been really good though with my homework. When I was at school and college I always put things off until last minute but not that I am working on procrastination I have been really good and got the homework done before I have to.

In the course we talked about what we would like to do career wise and where we would like to be in five years time. I was thinking about how I want to work from home and that if I want this to work out I have to start working on my skills now rather than later. This prompted me to write a short story. I am really pleased that I have done it and I posted it on the Internet to get some tips about how it can be improved. I got some positive feedback about it and some useful tips on how to improve it. That has really helped. I am still going to take an English course but this has helped for how.

I am feeling more confident about the future now. I know where I am going. I just need to work out how to get there.
